Correlations in scattered perfect optical vortices

چکیده
We study correlations in the speckle patterns generated by scattering of perfect optical vortex (POV) beams and use them to produce a new class coherence functions, namely Bessel functions. Higher (zeroth) order functions have been realized cross (auto)-correlation between different orders. also studied propagation produced characterized their divergence with respect radius first ring for orders m = 0–4. observe that varies linearly function. provide exact analytical expression auto-correlation, as well cross-correlation patterns. Our experimental results are good agreement results.

perfect correlations ∗
The notion of perfect correlations between arbitrary observables, or more generally arbitrary POVMs, is introduced in the standard formulation of quantum mechanics, and characterized by several well-established statistical conditions. The transitivity of perfect correlations is proved to generally hold, and applied to a simple articulation for the failure of Hardy’s nonlocality proof for maxima...
متن کاملOptical vortices in antiguides.
We address the question of whether an optical vortex can be trapped in a dielectric structure with a core of a lower refractive index than the cladding--namely an antiguide. Extensive numerical simulations seem to indicate that this inverse trapping of a vortex is not possible, at least in straightforward implementations. Yet, the interaction of a vortex beam with a curved antiguide produces in...
متن کاملSpatial quantum correlations in multiple scattered light.
We predict a new spatial quantum correlation in light propagating through a multiple scattering random medium. The correlation depends on the quantum state of the light illuminating the medium, is infinite in range, and dominates over classical mesoscopic intensity correlations. The spatial quantum correlation is revealed in the quantum fluctuations of the total transmission or reflection throu...
متن کاملCoherence vortices in Mie scattered nonparaxial partially coherent beams.
We have previously demonstrated that Mie scattering of partially coherent plane waves can create coherence vortices, namely screw-type dislocations in the phase of the spectral degree of coherence. However, plane waves are an idealization and in practice, optical beams are often much closer to reality. Thus, in this paper, we consider coherence vortices created by Mie scattering of partially co...
